Education
I received my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. GPA 4.0/4.0. I am currently a PhD student at Georgia Tech in Mechanical Engineering focusing in robotics and control systems. I have a very strong foundation in the STEM fields, which allows me to help students understand complex problems and how to approach the problem solving process. My applied background allows me to connect topics to the real world, which draws greater interest from students and transforms an academic task to one in the real world, which builds intuition and understanding.
Experience
GRE: 169 Verbal, 168 Quant, 5 W SAT: 2270 Completed Mechanical Engineering degree with focus in control systems. I interned at NASA and Schlumberger (worlds largest Oil Field Services Company). I worked on a design project for the Shriner's Hospital to design a wheelchair for a kid with significant range of motion limitations. I was elected chief justice of my college, which provided significant practice in interpersonal skills as well as handling tense situations, which often occurs when students struggle with material. This experience allows me to successfully help students, even while they are frustrated.
