Experience

My passion for education began in college when I worked part time as an SAT tutor. Since graduation, I have been officially working in education for two years. Last year I worked as a tutor and mentor teaching 7th and 8th grade math at a middle school in Miami Dade through a service program called City Year. This year I became formally certified to teach math in grades 6-12 and physics. Currently I teach 7th grade math, geometry, and physics at a middle high school in Hollywood, Florida. I received an 800 on the math sections of the SAT and am also familiar with ACT math and science sections. I believe I was given a gift at math and I love having the opportunity to share that gift with other people by not only building their confidence in math but also developing an appreciation of the usefulness of the subject.
